ÖLAND SIZING GUIDE
Oland Boot Sizing Guide
To ensure the best fit for your Oland boots, follow the steps below to measure your feet accurately.
What You Need
- Pen or pencil
- Large sheet of paper
- Tape measure (in millimeters)
Wear the socks you will most often wear with these boots while measuring. Be sure to measure both feet.
Step 1: Trace Your Foot
Place a sheet of paper flat on the floor. Sit on a chair and place one foot on the paper. Apply pressure to your foot and carefully trace the outline. Hold the pen vertically and perpendicular to the paper so the outline matches your foot as closely as possible.
Step 2: Measure Foot Length
Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the bottom of the heel to the tip of the longest toe. This represents points A to B on the diagram. Record the measurement in millimeters (mm). Example: 292 mm.
Step 3: Measure Foot Width
Measure the widest part of your foot across the ball of the foot. This represents points C to D on the diagram. Record the measurement in millimeters.
Step 4: Measure Both Feet
Repeat the steps for your other foot. Use the longer length measurement and the wider width measurement when selecting your size.
Step 5: Find Your Size
Use your longest length measurement and widest width measurement to determine your size using the chart below.
Oland Boot Size Chart

| 38 | 233–239 mm | 83–89.5 mm |

| 40 | 241–246.5 mm | 86–93 mm |
| 41 | 246.5–254 mm | 86.5–95 mm |
| 42 | 254–261 mm | 88–96 mm |
| 43 | 261–269 mm | 90–98 mm |
| 44 | 269–275 mm | 93–99 mm |
| 45 | 275–283 mm | 93–103 mm |

FBC Boot Purchasing Guide
FBC Boot Purchasing Guide
Finding the right pair of boots is key for comfort, performance, and durability. At FBC, we carry boots designed for active trail riding, cold weather outdoor adventures, and everyday wear. Use this guide to choose the best option for your needs.
1. Determine Your Use Case
Different boots are built for different conditions. Start with where and how you’ll be using them:
- Casual Winter Wear / Easy Riding – Choose warm, waterproof boots that emphasize comfort and style.
- Active Winter Fat Biking – Look for lightweight, insulated boots that work with wide platforms or clipless pedals, and have waterproof protection.
- Backcountry / Expedition – Go for highly insulated, extreme-weather boots that prioritize warmth and waterproofing.
- Commuting / Everyday – A versatile option with moderate insulation and all-day comfort.
2. Fit & Sizing
- Try with your intended socks. Thicker socks may require sizing up.
- Toe room is crucial. Cold-weather boots should allow a little extra space for circulation.
- Conversion chart. If you’re moving between EU, US Men’s, or US Women’s sizes, check our [Sizing Chart] (insert link or chart).
3. Key Features to Consider
- Insulation
Light (50–100g): For cool, active use.
Medium (100–400g): Versatile for most winter days.
Heavy (400g+): Extreme cold or low-activity conditions.
- Waterproofing
Look for Gore-Tex, proprietary membranes, or fully seam-sealed boots.
- Pedal Compatibility
Flat pedal boots: Grippy rubber soles.
Clipless-compatible boots: SPD or 2-bolt cleat mount options.
- Height & Support
Low-cut: Lighter, more flexible.
Mid-cut: Balance of support and mobility.
High-cut: Maximum warmth and ankle protection. - Sole Flexibility
Stiffer soles: Better for cycling efficiency.
Flexible soles: More comfort for walking.
4. Temperature Ratings (Approximate)
- Mild winter (2°C to -10°C / 32°F to 14°F) – Lightweight insulated boots.
- Cold winter (-10°C to -20°C / 14°F to -4°F) – Mid-insulated boots.
- Extreme cold (-20°C and below / -4°F and colder) – Expedition-level boots with heavy insulation.
5. Pro Tips
- Always dry boots fully after use to maintain insulation and waterproofing.
